Welcome to iOSMentor! Protecting your personal data matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

2. What Data We Collect
We collect only what we need to give you a personalized mentoring experience:
- Account data: Your name and email address. If you sign up with email and password, your password is stored hashed by Google Firebase Authentication; nobody, including us, can see it. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the name and email those platforms share with us (if you use Apple's "Hide My Email," the relay address Apple provides).
- Learning and usage data: The questions you answer and your answers, your XP and rank, your progress by topic, your flashcard progress, the code you write in code practice, your conversations with the AI mentor, and your interview reports.
- Speech data: The "AI Mock Interview" feature uses the microphone only when you start it. Your voice is transcribed entirely on your device using Apple's speech recognition; audio never leaves your device and is not stored on any server. Only the resulting text is sent to the AI to evaluate your answer.
- Purchase data: The Apple-signed transaction information used to verify your Premium subscription (product type and expiration date). Your payment and card details stay with Apple and never reach us.
- Technical data: In-app usage events (for example, which screen was opened or that a practice session was completed), device model, operating system version, app version, and crash reports.
We do not track you for advertising and do not track your activity across other apps or websites.

4. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with advertisers. Your data is shared only with the service providers the app needs to work:
- Google Firebase (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd.): Authentication (Firebase Authentication), data storage (Cloud Firestore), server processing (Cloud Functions), usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase), crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics), and verifying that requests come from an unmodified copy of the app (Firebase App Check).
- Google Gemini API (Google LLC): Powers the AI mentor: generating questions, evaluating your code and interview answers, and chatting with you. For this, the text you send (what you write to the mentor, your code, the transcribed text of your interview answers, and related progress information) is sent to Gemini; your name and email address are not sent. Under the Gemini API's paid service terms, Google does not use this content to train its models.
- Google Cloud Text-to-Speech (Google LLC): When you listen to the AI's replies aloud in interviews and mentor chat, the text to be spoken is sent to this service.
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, subscription processing, and on-device speech recognition.
